This corner of the site is mostly to help people putting infor about Icelandic movies to imdb.com
First I tried to but the info my self by using VHS tapes of the movies but soon I found out that it was much easier to first put the info into my computer. It's very difficult to move back and forth on the VHS tapes to find the corect name. And since been doing that, I might as well ask you to help me.
I've put more than 50 credit lists on my computer, and that's almost half of the movie's I'm going to import. I'll add them to my site as I get more
It's very easy to put info on imdb, but in case you're
new to it, I'll tell you the main things you have to remeber.
* To beginn: Go to the botton of the imdb
site for the movie you're going to add info to, there you will find a
button called "Update". There you will find alot of info you can add
(here are a few instructions)
just remeber to read the help text. They are mostly looking for actors
names, but you can almost put any info you can find on the credit list.
Examples of info that you can find are title, filming locatins, filming
dates, copyrights, crazy credits and more (info you can't find here,
but that you can add if you have it are certifications, length, release
date and more) I want to encourage you to look hard at the credit list
and add any info that you find.
* Credit order: One thing I want to point
out is the "credit
order". This is the order of the cast as it apears in the end
credits. This is usualy when the names role up. If they only apeare at
the start, then that order is used. Many cast lists on imdb are in the
wrong order, this is because many contributors use the order in wich
the cast apears on other data, such as posters, official sites or
production info. If they are not in the right order, please don't be
afraid to change it. Writers order has another rule explained here.
* Cast Characters: You should put the caracters
name in as it apears on the kredit list. If you speak
Icelandic, than you can translate it into english if you want, although
you don't have to. If there is no caracter name, you should at the most
fitting name, or leave it blank.
* Crews Occupation: In most cases they
nead to be in english, so if you are not femiliar with Icelandic, I'd
recomend you only to submite the cast credits (that is, if the credit
list is in Icelandic). If you want to try translating it into English,
then you can use Online
Film Dictionary, but that dictionary is far from compleat. To
start translating you chose "specific
term" or "main
categories" on the left side of the logo.
